    Haiti Relief Efforts


    On January 12th, 2010, a series of earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 6.5 to 7.3 devastated Haiti. The American Red Cross is working with its partners in the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network, including the Haitian Red Cross, and other partners
    to assist those affected by this
    disaster.

    As the world continues to step forward in this time of tragedy, Delta Alpha Zeta asks that you give what you can and donate to the American Red

  • Community Service Initiatives 5 pearls


    Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. has long demonstrated an interest in serving the needs of the community. Spanning the Sorority's nearly thirty-year partnership with the March of Dimes to its relationship with the Human Genome Project, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. has been at the forefront of anticipating the ever-changing needs of society.


    ZHOPE
    It is within this framework that the International Service Initiative for
    Delta Alpha Zeta Chapter implements a number of Z-H.O.P.E. projects, such as: Z-Pack It Up (collecting and distributing school supplies for needy children); Stork’s Nest (a partnership with the March of Dimes instituted to encourage women to seek prenatal care); Educational Opportunities, via our AIDS/HIV Awareness workshops (an annual scholarship event held to raise money for Brooklyn youth seeking financial assistance in an effort to attend institutions of higher learning).

    Delta Alpha Zeta Chapter
    also makes financial contributions to the following organizations:

The principle activities and purpose of the trust are to award scholarship grants to worthy students for the pursuit of higher education; to conduct community educational programs which will aid in the educational and vocational improvement in individual and community living standards; to engage in activities which will aid in the educational development of all women; and to engage in any appropriate research related to the purposes of the Foundation Scholarships.

    StorkNestDelta Alpha Zeta Stork's Nest Foundation
    Since 1972, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. has enjoyed a partnership with the March of Dimes in an effort to encourage women to seek prenatal care within the first trimester of pregnancy, thereby increasing the prevention of birth defects and infant mortality.

    Locally, Delta Alpha Zeta Chapter has sponsored a Stork's Nest in Brooklyn since 2003. Since its inception, the Delta Alpha Zeta Chapter Stork's Nest program has served many women in the Brooklyn Borough.
